Privacy Policy

Zenance helps you organize your financial assets through conversation. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — in plain language.

What we collect

• Account information — your email and name, used to sign you in and secure your account.
• Assets and documents you add — the financial information you share in conversation, and any documents you choose to upload.
• Voice — if you speak to Zenance, your audio is sent for transcription into text and is not retained after it's transcribed.
• Basic technical data — standard information needed to operate and secure the app.

How your asset data is protected

Your asset data is encrypted under a key only you hold — no Zenance employee can read your stored records. Your assets, their details, and your documents are encrypted on your device before they're stored, using a key that stays with you. On our servers, these records exist only as encrypted data.

To be clear about the edges: this protects your data where it's stored. To organize what you tell us, your conversation is processed by our AI provider, and voice is processed by our transcription provider (see below). Because there is still a processing step, we don't describe Zenance as "end-to-end encrypted" or "zero-knowledge."

How we use your information

• To provide and improve the Zenance service.
• To turn what you tell us into organized, structured records.
• We never sell your information or use it for advertising.

Who we work with

We rely on a few trusted providers to operate Zenance. Each processes data only to provide its service to us, under agreements requiring appropriate confidentiality and security:

• Anthropic — powers the AI that understands your conversation.
• OpenAI — transcribes your voice into text.
• Supabase — account sign-in, database, and document storage.
• Railway — hosts our backend service.

Your rights

You're in control of your information. You can request a copy of your data, delete your account and data, or ask us any privacy question. To make a request, email admin@zenance.co.

Children

Zenance is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know in the app.
